Q: When did you decide to prepare for bank exams?

Ans: After doing my MBA, I got few job offers, but either they were not challenging enough to keep me engaged or their job profile didn’t fully match with my qualification (what I feel). Meanwhile I had some friends who were then preparing for banking jobs. They were not MBAs. I decided to give a trial to myself which was supposed to be My First and Final Attempt. The first banking exam that I gave was of SBI CLERK and Surprisingly I got selected. However, I didn’t join it, and then I gave Allahabad Bank PO and again got selected. This time I Joined Allahabad Bank at Bhandardihi, Bardhman, West Bengal.
Q: What was your exam strategy?

Ans: The first thing I did was to make a time table; I fixed a target to solve the 10 year’s previous Papers at least for 4 times within a month. It helped me reduce calculating time/per question and enhance accuracy with each sitting. I didn’t take any coaching or tuition. I think the questions which are being asked in bank exams are easy to solve at least with the conventional methods. With the help of some good books and the useful websites like yours any one can easily learn shortcuts and quicker methods to solve the numerical ability and reasoning section.

Q: Which books/magazines did you follow?

For Set Practice – BSC Publication’s Solved Previous Papers for bank PO

For Reasoning – Didn’t followed any book, instead took the help of web, I would like to suggest the candidates to go through the YouTube and other websites to learn reasoning tricks.

For Maths/quantitative Aptitude – Quicker Maths by M. Tayra.

Current Affairs – Pratiyogita Darpan.

Q: Any suggestion for the bank Job aspirants?

Ans: Believe in yourself. Practice is the key, do it as much as possible. No matter what happens, ROJANA KAM SE KAM TO 1 SET ROJ BANAYIE. Since the IBPS PO and other bank exams are now being conducted online, so no doubt taking lots of online mock tests will be an added advantage.
